I had a fantastic time visiting The Hollies in Musselburgh. It was great to meet the lunch club and hear about all the services they provide for the community. I highly recommend you pop into the community cafe next time you are on Musselburgh High Street.

Tour of Teviot
It was amazing to get a tour of the newly refurbished Teviot with Edinburgh University Students Association. alongside seeing the great new space, we had the opportunity to talk about what EUSA are doing to support students throughout their time at University.

Hosting my first advice surgeries
In June I hosted my first advice surgeries across the region. I was joined by Councillor Tim Pogson at my Southside advice surgery, I held a surgery at The Fraser Centre in Tranent and Councillor Ruaridh Bennett joined me at my advice surgery in Musselburgh. Advice Surgeries allow me to talk to residents about the issues they are experiencing and offer support.

I had a lovely time speaking to local residents and organisations at Leith Gala Day. Leith has such a vibrant community, this was a lovely opportunity to celebrate and bring the community together.

Visiting Siwar Coffee & Arabic Ice Cream in Musselburgh

Meeting the Fisherrow Harbour & Seafront Association
The association look after the beautiful Fisherrow Sands. It was great to meet with them ahead of a meeting with the Cabinet Secretary to discuss water quality. Our beaches need to be clean from sewage to ensure wildlife can continue to call them home and residents can enjoy our beautiful beaches.

I had a tour of Glenkinchie Distillery with the Scotch Whisky Association. It was fabulous to see how whiskey is made and talk about the challenges facing this iconic Scottish product.

Freedom from Fear campaign at Musselburgh Tesco
It was an absolute pleasure to attend USDAW's Freedom from fear campaign at Musselburgh Tesco. No retail worker should face abuse, intimidation or violence at work. I have been working closely with the team at Musselburgh Tesco and the Policing team to ensure that everyone feels safe working and shopping at the store.
