Challenge Poverty Week
It was lovely to visit Roots and Fruits this morning to hear about the fantastic work they do in Elphinstone and throughout East Lothian supporting people in need and tackling social isolation.
Community organisations like Roots and Fruits show what can be achieved when people come together, but we must also address the root causes that leave too many families struggling. That’s why Scottish Labour are calling for a cross party commission on child poverty. We must work together to ensure no one in Scotland is left struggling to pay for the essentials.
