Visiting Action Station

I had a wonderful visit to Action Porty, The Bellfield, and the Friday Community Café.

We discussed the importance of community ownership, community spaces, and educational outreach. Based in the former Portobello police station, Action Porty is creating a thriving community hub, supporting local businesses and working with Portobello High School to provide outreach for young people, who struggle with mainstream school.

I’ll be taking the lessons from this fantastic community-led project back to Parliament and sharing its success with other communities across the region.
